We are situated in the heart of Devon, ideally located for touring Devon and Cornwall, with panoramic views of the beautiful rolling hills and valleys with many walks.
You can enjoy a walk down to the River Torridge where you can sit and relax or follow the river bank along to where we have 400m of private salmon and trout fishing.
Alternatively, you can follow the Tarka Trail which crosses through the farmyard or you could take a walk on our own farm trail.
In the village of Iddesleigh approximately one mile away we have a wonderful 15th century inn overlooking Dartmoor called the Duke of York which is open all day serving excellent food and Real Ale.  The restaurant is renowned for generous portions of home cooked food.
Hatherleigh is approx 3 miles. This is an ancient market town with cob and thatched cottages situated in the heart of rural Devon. On Tuesdays there is a pannier market and there are a variety of shops and pubs. For more information abouth Hatherleigh please visit www.hatherleigh.net
It is an ideal base from which to explore Devon and Cornwall. The famous Eden Project is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes away and RHS Rosemoor Gardens are within easy reach at Great Torrington.

Lydford Gorge
Beautiful Woodland Walk 1.5miles long (shorter routes for the less enthusiastic) Visit the famous White Lady Waterfall – 90ft high.
Numerous Whirlpools and the famous Devils Cauldron where the sound
of cascading water is unbelievable. Visit the remains of Lydford Castle or the smallest church on the hill at nearby Brentor and admire magnificent views over Dartmoor's spectacular tors.

Castle Drogo
Drewsteignton. An early 20th Century granite castle built 900ft high
above the Teign Valley. Spectacular views and lovely walks.

Cotehele House
Noted to be one of the top five in England. A medieval house with no electicity and adorned with oak furniture and tapestries. Medieval pond
and dovecote. Beautiful gardens, Quay and Mill.

Buckland Abbey
Home of Sir Frances Drake. Medieval monastry hosts a collection from
his life, the story of the Armada and the famous Drake's Drum. Visit the Great Hall, newly created Elizabethan garden and lovely walks.

Morwellham Quay
Historic Port and Copper Mine near Tavistock. Ideal for families.

The Garden House at Buckland Monachorum
Near Buckland Abbey. Featured on the Glorious Gardens program.
